Loved the recipe and super easy, but there is no way this is over 500 calories as per the ‘nutrition’ section!

yh nowhere near. I made a 6 person batch worth but used dried lentils (340g) and it came out at almost exactly 250kcal.

There is no way this needs 700ml of stock. Have made it multiple times - it needs 300-400ML max. Also does not need 4 TABLEspoons of Miso - at least not the Miso I am using. More like 4 TEAspoons Otherwise this is an excellent excellent veggie bolognaise! Thank you!

Hello, I have a question, is it 400 g only of lentils or is it 1 can of 400 g (lentils + the broth that comes inside the can)?

Hi Marina, thanks for flagging this! We've fixed an error in the ingredients list. It should be 2 x 400g cans cooked lentils, drained. This makes a total drained weight of 480g lentils. Enjoy!

Are the ingredients listed to serve 12 portions or 6?

Hi Anshu! The ingredients listed serve 6 people, or 3 dinners each serving 2 people. Apologies for the confusion – we've corrected the information on the page you've screenshot.

I've used marmite instead of miso and it's still super yummy!

Hello - when you say 'blitz' in step 1, which tool to you mean? Since the instruction says 'don't be tempted' to grate, does that mean don't use the grating tool in the food processor? Thank you!

Hi Amanda, by 'blitz' we mean to use the pulse button to chop the ingredients very finely. The instructions not to use a grater are for people without a food processor; if you don't have a food processor, you can chop the ingredients very finely by hand. Enjoy!

Can you clarify the lentil instruction? American here and not sure what "Cooked Puy Lentils" means. :) Can I use green or brown lentils, and should they be cooked prior to adding? The instruction to let simmer for 30-40 minutes made me think that I should add them uncooked, and that they would cook in the stock.

Not sure if sold in the US, but we have a brand called Merchant Gourmet that sells it. You can literally eat it out of the bag.

Hi Hope! This recipe uses cooked puy lentils (either from a can, packet or precooked yourself). You could also use raw lentils but it might need some more liquid and a little more time to cook the lentils. Enjoy!

This recipe doesn't mention how to prepare the garlic and also when it goes in?

Hi Hannah, thanks for reaching out! The garlic goes into the food processor with the onion, carrot and celery in step 1 and is fried off with the other blitzed veggies in step 2. Enjoy!

Hi Elizabeth, absolutely! This base ragu freezes really well. Just defrost it when you want to use it to make one of our batch recipes: https://www.mob.co.uk/meal-plans/batch-cook-mushroom-lentil-ragu/mushroom-lentil-gnocchi
